About Our National Memory
The Iraqi National Memory project aims to revive the shared history of the struggles of the Iraqi people over the past century by digitizing important historical documents, speeches, research, and personal testimonies, and semantically analyzing them using artificial intelligence techniques. The project seeks to empower researchers and future generations to easily access this rich cognitive heritage that contributed to shaping modern Iraq.
The project also includes digitizing hundreds of thousands of contemporary documents and research published by Iraqi universities in various fields, and analyzing them semantically, thereby contributing to the development of scientific capabilities of the new generation and supporting the construction of an independent national economy. The Iraqi National Memory project is an initiative launched by the "Al-Mushtarek" platform. The digital national memory was built using the "Knowledge Mirror" AI technology from the NewsSocial cooperative and hosted on an Iraqi cloud based on AI technologies provided by the Chinese company Huawei.
Who We Are
We are members of the "Al-Mushtarek" project, a non-profit Iraqi project based on the idea that collective sharing of information and ideas can change our societies for the better.
Iraq is in urgent need of a comprehensive social network for the economic and social development of society, aiming to bridge gaps and build bridges within Iraqi society to rebuild its destroyed institutions. "Al-Mushtarek" represents an effort to develop this culture and find real, feasible solutions to countless social and economic problems facing the country. This effort is dedicated to building an inclusive, rational, evidence-based, democratic discourse. The methods used by "Al-Mushtarek," known as "group ideas" or crowdsourcing ideas and designs, are designed to accelerate change through the participation of as many people as possible.
The Al-Mushtarek cooperative project was launched in 2017 as an initiative by the Iraqi Welfare Association.
Currently contributing to the Al-Mushtarek project are Fouad Al-Amir, Majid Allawi, Sami Al-Banna, Hani Lazim, Ali Al-Assam, Baidaa Hamid, Saib Khaleel, Sarah Khamis, and Haroun Lazim, with broad support from a number of Iraqis, including Professor Kamal Majeed and Muneer Al-Chalabi.
It is possible to visit Al-Mushtarek at the link below, where we welcome its use by institutions and individuals for development, thought, and education projects for Iraq. Al-Mushtarek Link.
